Owlsight runs courses for learning the basics of compassion, empathy and mindfulness in a bush setting.
It’s designed for people who are interested in compassion, but who:
- Don’t know where to start;
- Have tried to practise compassion, but found it difficult or confusing; or
- Have never been able to practise it consistently.
Our lessons and exercises focus on consistent, practical steps you can take to enrichen your life with compassion and empathy.
One of the most beneficial aspects of Owlsight Hikes and Programs is discussing your practice with other campers and sharing experiences. Each of us has a unique experience to share.

I’m Luke Weatherstone – writer, hiker, speaker and regular person. I’m an instructor of conflict resolution strategies at the Krav Maga Defence Institute, and the creator of Owlsight.
Compassionate practice has changed my life, and I want to help as many people as possible learn compassion and empathy, and incorporate it into their lives.
It’s my belief that compassion and empathy require daily, self-directed practice. I’ve designed Owlsight courses to help you establish your own practices, drawing on wisdom from the ancient Stoics, Chinese and modern psychology.
